YOLO Projects

Our Story

YOLO Projects started from a meaningful moment when Rachel’s 10-year-old daughter Mia asked her, “Mum, why are you so passionate about your work?” It made Rachel think about how to explain what it really takes to run a business, the highs and lows, the failures and successes—something her children didn’t fully understand yet; and that’s Rachel lived every day as a small business owner.

Around the same time, Rachel’s teenage son Ian tried his hand at entrepreneurship by starting a drop shipping business. Full of excitement, Ian launched his venture and thought it’s easy money to make… but, after just two months, he gave up. Rachel realised something important—her kids, like so many others, saw entrepreneurship as easy, yet had little knowledge of the resilience and skills required to succeed.

Rachel saw that teens today are interested in starting businesses but often don’t know how. Many parents still hope their children will become professionals… But if teens wanted to start businesses, and how…when they are lacked the tools and guidance to turn their ideas into reality.

To solve this, Rachel connected with a group of experienced business owners who have built successful businesses and have the knowledge to help the next generation. They wanted to give teens a chance to take control of their future by learning important skills, meeting the right people, and gaining experience early in life.

YOLO Projects was created as a place where teens can learn real-world business skills from experts in a safe and supportive environment. It’s a place where they can try, fail, learn, and grow—just like real entrepreneurs. Rachel’s goal is simple: to give teens the chance to explore the business world, build resilience, and learn that success takes more than just an idea—it takes determination and learning from both wins and losses.

By starting YOLO Projects, Rachel and her team hope to help teens take charge of their future, build confidence, and create their own path to happiness and success.
